Greetings,
It is my pleasure to report to you the success of our Talent Hunt Program Which was held on November 20, 2003 on the historical campus of LeMoyne-Owen College. As we all are aware; this program provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young people. As an effort to satisfy our commitment, Epsilon Phi, Chi Psi, and Xi Zeta chapters brought forth a joint effort for this event.
Our Talent Hunt committee constructed a wonderful program which consisted of Omega's very own William Clark (Xi Zeta ) as our host for the evening, and a very distinguished panel of judges from the greater Memphis area which were: Carolyn Petties who is the Human Resources Manager for The Memphis Area Transit Authority, Rosalyn Ross who is a Marketing Specialist with St. Jude Research Hospital, and Tamala Boyd who is the assistant Principal at White Station High School.
Our contestants were high school students from the Memphis City School System: Lola Brown (East High), Nakeysha Dean (East High), Lynell Hollis (East High), Robert Williams (East High), Crstal Windless (Central High), and Lyndsey
Brewster (Overton High).
Each contestant displayed excellent talent through out the program in the forms of drama, and song. Their efforts were
unprecedented and genuine. In the end each were awarded a letter and certificate of participation. Also awarded were first, second, and third place which went to:

1st Place - Crystal Windless $300.00

2nd Place- Lynell Hollis $200.00
-
3rd Place -Lyndsey Brewster $100.00
Each winner will attend the District Talent Hunt contest which will be held in Jackson,
TN. on April 3, 2004. I would like to acknowledge the special efforts of this years participants and wish the winners good luck when they represent each chapter at the district Meeting.
