On Saturday morning, September 28, 2002 Memphis, Tennessee and Epsilon Phi Chapter  added yet another page to its history book. Our on Fifth District Representative, Brother Richard D. Jones played a significant part, as The National Civil Rights Museum unveiled its expansion project. The $11 million dollar project, afforded the Museum an opportunity to purchase two prime pieces of real estate important to the events surrounding the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

With vital support from the City of Memphis, Shelby County, theState of Tennessee, and local contributors, through the "Commemorative Brick Project", enough funds were raised to create a lasting monument, while exploring the legacy.

Brother Jones, spoke to the audience on behalf of all the donors who contributed to the project. He had the audience to know "that many hands make light work" and when we work together, we get things done. Even though the bricks are single units, but when placed or layed together the become a strong unit. He encouraged others to join who had not. The National Civil Rights Museum can grow bigger and stronger with your support.

Some of the brothers present lending their support were: Dr. Benjamin Hooks, Chairman of the Board, National Civil Rights Museum, Brother Mark Bishop, Recruiter for Federal Express, Brother Rodney Jeffery, Programer Federal Express, Brother Mark Stansbury, Assistant to the President at The University Memphis and Brother John Fenceroy.
